Dear Family and Friends,

Another year has passed, more like flew by. Hope everyone is doing well. We had a busy year. It started lonely but got more exciting as the months pasted. As a family we went on a little vacation to Las Vegas. We met up with Mark’s parents and had a great time. We took in all that the hotels had to offer. We also made a little trip over to the Hoover Dam.
Mark is still in the Navy and is working hard as ever. He spent the first part of the year deployed. Mark also joined the internet world this year, with the help of his wife, got himself a facebook page. He is not very good about updating himself but loves reading about others and farming the farm he never knew he had. Mark is looking forward to May, when he will be “over the hill”. The half way to retirement, 10 years in the service.
Kammi is glad Mark is home….She spends her “free” time knitting and crocheting. In November, Kammi along with sister in law Mary took a 4 day cruise to Catalina and Ensenada Mexico for a “No Husbands No Kids Just Suntans” Cruise. We enjoyed having time alone but really missed the kids and husbands. This was the first time Kammi had been out of the country.
Makalia turned 5 this November. She started Kindergarten this fall. She loves going to school to do activities. She is learning her ABC’s and loves to read. She also has joined the running club and runs in the morning before school. Her teachers say she is a joy to have in class and well behaved child. She has made many new friends.
Henry turned 1 this year and has been a very “healthy” boy this year. Currently Henry is weighing in at a healthy 37 pounds and is three feet tall already. The doctors say he is the average size of a 4 year old. He has become a little lonely since Makalia is in school all day. Henry spends his day playing with his cars and tractors and seeing what he can get himself into. He also has decided to redecorate the house walls with his artistic skills.
As we look ahead to this new year, we hope everyone is happy and healthy. If you would like to keep in contact with us through out the year you can visit Mark and Kammi on facebook.

Happy Holidays
Mark Kammi Makalia and Henry
