Well this morning shortly after getting Makalia off to school, the lady came by with the report for Henry. It clearly states he has ASD, autism spectrum disorder. I am confused by all the information in the report. So tomorrow I am heading to the library while I am out on my own and getting some information. I have meeting tomorrow at 2pm to find out what the plan is for him. Its going to be alot for me to take in by myself. This is one of those times i really need my husband.
Its hard as a parent to see what they see as autism and not as a child who hasn't had much time being around other kids his age. I havent got him into a play group here, like we had in San Diego.
So i just need to some support through this, I am not ready to face this alone......

ReplyDeleteHey lady, Hang in there. There are alot of support groups for that. Look at babycenter.com and check out their boards. I think once you get familiar with what's going on and have a better understanding of what it is, you'll feel more at ease. You are a strong woman Kammi. Im glad you know what is going on though.
